Well, Declan, I suppose it all boils down to how serious one takes what one perceives from the various songs. If one interprets each song as the gospel truth, then yes, they could have dark connotations. BUT...If they are viewed as largely entertainment and just that, they are not harmful at all. I for one do not go round looking for hidden messages or obscure agenda in songs, but listen to them more for the entertainment they are meant to be.
