Shit. I left the word "not" out of the following sentence above in a previous post of mine.... It should read:

"I really appreciated Geordie in Star Trek, because he did NOT exemplify the above stereotypes, but acted like a normal human being."

Fortunately, no one seems to mind, thus far...

I bet this is how people inadvertently launch missiles too, which is why there are normally several steps involved in the process.
