I'm into Celtic very muchly Bear, but the tune that comes to mind for me isn't very Celtified.

You're not uniformly metrical in writing the poem, which is cool, but hard to set a tune to. This would almost be better suited to an orchestral tone poem (Ala Phil Ochs, Pleasures of the Harbor). Something very weird came to mind, but since you didn't ask for weird, I worked out a perpetual pipe solo (in two modes) that you could sing it to with not much editing from verse to verse... I assume the last 2 lines were supposed to be a tag?

The solo sounds almost more medieval like than Celtic, but its still pretty cool. Mind if I email it your way, Bear?
