It's still April Fool's Day here in Hawaii, and this was certainly the most effective joke I've seen since Harper's Magazine in 1970 wrote about a bill in Congress to turn all golf courses into public parks (sponsored by Congressman A. F. Day, of course). You should have seen the letters that one generated!
