Velez Sarfield is a football club originated in the neighbourhood called Velez Sarfield. In our history there was a Dalmacio Velez Sarfield (1800-1875) who wrote the civil code (I don't know if that's the word: a book containing all the laws applying to ordinary members of a community) and was co-author of the commerce code (?)He was born in a provice of Argentina (Córdoba). I don't know about ascendants, they might be one of the ones you and the other people mention. Several football clubs have names of the neighbourhoods where they got formed. Boca Juniors (the "barrio de la Boca") River Plate because the stadium is very near the "Río de la Plata", Chacarita, etc. I hope this is 'enlightening' to you.
