I started using a stage name 35 years ago playing in Greenwich Village. My birth name was a little too easy to confusticate. I changed it to Ross, figuring that was short, eassy to spell and easy to remember. So far, over the years I have been; FOSS, MOSS, ROTH & GROSS. What can you do? It's the only name I 've been known by ever since. Not having a birth certificate in that name, and not having the money(or the inclination to go through a prolonged and expensice(for my budget) legality I can't get a drivers license, but my not driving is considered a contribution to the public welfare.
