1) this is NOT the place for that kind of thread.

2) gas prices, at least in the USA, are no higher than they were 18 years ago!..they MAY eventually go to a price that bothers me, but no amount of artifical one day boycotts are going to affect the global markets.

3)I, personally, hate mass emailings and requests like this...for ANY purpose. (who remembers hearing that sending in cigarette packages would help buy iron lungs?) .....call be a cynic, but 98.4123% of grass roots crusades of this nature are misguided and a waste of time..

I may or may not need gas that day....but don't you think that the oil companies are reading & hearing about this?...and that they will adjust their strategy accordingly?
