T'was nothing and the least I could do. Jackie is so enjoyable to talk with over the phone that the calls were probably as good for me as for any help I gave her.

This little Dulcimer had been with Jackie through many things both good and bad, a real friend. I guess for me, it represented what is true of Jackie and indeed many of us. We've had ups and downs, good times and bad, and we've endured the fire. As Jackie told me of her condition I was probably less than hopeful, but I also knew that any friend who had been so important as this Dulcimer, deserved to have the chance to sing again........and now she will. Her voice may not be what it was and her appearance may be a bit odd, but that's just like us too isn't it? Yeah, her voice may be different.......Tempered by the fire and a life's experience, it will be better!

Hopefully one of these days I can play her a bit myself and the tune that comes to mind first is Jean's Dear Companion. She certainly has been that to Jackie.
