Pretty good tip is to get some experience by working with existing festivals. You'll find that most are happy to have your help, even big ones like Whitby and Sidmouth. Carefull that you don't just end up dogsbodying though, you have to convince them that you have something to offer. (Yes, it's that Pete Fletcher) Cheers.
