True, Walrus. But sad.In a good fencing match, there is a fair amount of eye-balling each other and tentative feints and false attacks in an effort to feel each other out or to set a deep-laid trap. Then, sudden, bursts of ferocious action. I guess to really appreciate it, you have to know what's going on, and not all that many people are into fencing.
But still, ever without a well-done duel scene, Scaramouche as written is a helluva story.
