Whew! What a great list of love songs. Although given the traditional bent of "The 'Cat" and most of the folks who post here, I'd have expected fewer pop hits than we are getting.

Someone suggested "I Will Always Love You" and mentioned Whitney Houston but I believe Dolly Parton had it out long before Whitney. I think Dolly is the composer as well. If you like the song you really must hear Dolly doing it.

Favorite love song of mine and of friends include the old country tune "When The Bees Are In The Hive", the Carter Family's "You've Been A Friend To Me" and Bob Dylon's "Girl From The North Country." Another great love song is Don Williams' song "You're My Best Friend."

Now tell me the truth, is Ariel about to edit a book of love songs and just started this thread to troll for material?
