Many singers/players who didn't have professional training were/are considered the ones with a lot of 'soul', 'emotion' what have you. I'm sure you can think of an example.

Do you think training is a good thing (beyond the basics)? If one learns to sing/play correctly, will that person lose some of their personal signature?

Any thoughts?
