I'm just guessing that when he moved, he went to fewer and slower machines. (I think I remember him saying on the radio that he was selling some equipment.) It might be that he'd have to take Mudcat down to index the search. All I know for sure is that I've never seen a thread newer than Aug 01 when I've looked for things.

There are enough ways to search for threads that this doesn't bother me all that much. I miss it, but it's not that big a deal. Can do a user search on myself if I can't remember the name of the thread (I save a somewhat current one on my hard drive because it takes a loooong time) or use the filter.
