As I learned to play my instrument, I became adept at playing various styles of others. But these were not my "style".

My "style" and I are one. It is the natural expression of who I am. I did not choose the tonal qualities of my normal speaking voice, my eye color, my tempermant, nor did I choose my "style". It is just me.

Other musicians have influenced my music, just as my family and freinds have influenced my outlook. However, as I am who I am, so is my "style".

I love the responses that have been posted here. Very interesting look into the minds of musicians!
