It is a bit corny but at least it got some folkies into the pop charts. Is that a good or bad thing though???

Lowry learned his art at Salford art college - Now part of the University - about 2 miles down the road from me. It is next to Peel Park Museum and art galley where his works used to be housed until they were moved to the Lowry centre a couple of years back. The Centre are currently display their whole collectin of Lowrys - well worth a visit!

Not sure if old LS himself would approve of the new centre. I thought not at first but as he trained in architectural art I am not so sure now. The new building has certainly grown on me - and the setting is very impressive now the new War museum next is nearly finished.
