I play the Highland pipes on average 3 hours a day on 4 or 5 days a week, wilst making my living as a street musician, and piper at weddings and funerals. Pipes have to be played regularly to remain stable. I have an electronic chanter (Deger) that I practice on most days learning new tunes and trying to improve my technique.I allso play the Recorder and Whistle which I carry with me at all times to play when the oppertunity arrises ( about half an hour a day). The secret to my way of thinking is to ALLWAYS enjoy your playing. All the best PP.
