I try to practice my violin at least one hour a day but if I don't manage this I don't worry because sometimes I'm on it for 2-3 hours.

My main instrument is my voice which I practice twice a week if you include one of them being a gig. I don't practice much more than this because I tend to pick up melodies and harmonies very quickly and retain them. As for the words I tend to remember these also but I don't know how. I might go around the house humming to myself and of course I sing in the car but that's the only extra practice I get.

If something special is coming up like a Folk Festival I'll practice more because it's important to be spot on and professional.
