Hello Guest Susan ... It's amazing what I find on MUDCAT. No, I wasn't aware that this was (is) a song, I just know it as a drunken carpenters shout ... "Get off the table, Mable, the two bits is for the beer!" That shout was usually followed with this one: "She cried as she lifted her wooden leg ... lumbers goin' up!" Oh well ... such stuff!
