One of the great things about being Canadian is hockey, which I devoted my youth to. A secret that all hockey players know is that Duct tape doesn't hold a candle to white hockey tape. (Black Hockey tape is made from a different material and although it has it's uses, is not nearly as versatile)

My latest application is musical. My sister bought a glass slide to play bottleneck guitar with. As her fingers are more slender than most slide players, it was not staying on her finger securely. A little white hockey tape carefully installed on the inside of the slide and presto, a snug fit. She now credits me at gigs as her slide tech.

If it can't be fixed with white hockey tape, it just can't be fixed. Fellow Canucks, I'm sorry for revealing national secrets.
