Positive energy is a good thing. However, if I hear that sappy Lee Greenwood song ever again, I think I'll puke. Gimme a military brass band with a few good Sousa marches any day. :-)Lemme play the devil's advocate here once again. This is just a question, just a thought, not necessarily my own opinion. Are Charlie Daniels' "patriotic" songs really much different from some of the stuff that came out of WWII? Like "You're a Sap Mr. Jap" or how about Spike Jones farting in Der Fuhrer's Face?
Someone who was around then, or at least knows - did this stuff get played on the radio with any regularity? I'm just curious.
