Here in San Francisco, California; as opposed to San Francisco, New Mexico or Costa Rica; there are two fairly ordinary streets, Belcher and Beaver. The one we're proud of, though was named for the Philippino chieftan who killed Ferdinand Magellan - Lapu Lapu. Now if I could only find out WHY we have a street named for Lapu Lapu.
