There is another verse which is omitted in the DT version (and in many published versions), it goes in the penultimate position.

We're travelling to Glaston through England's green lanes,
To hear of men's troubles, to hear of men's pains.
We'll travel the whole world by land and by sea,
To show all the people how they can be free.


The song is based on the legend that the young Christ travelled to Glastonbury with his uncle and this extra verse (by Alan Bell) helps to establish the fact.
