Well, Susan, it sure fits the tune the way I play it on the fiddle. And by the way, if you're playing in D, then a good way to imitate the mule on the fiddle at the beginning of the first part of the tune is to slide an A note down to a G on the low G string, then pop the bow up to an F# on the E string, then D on the A string.
