It's not too bad as a listerner, but can bugger up the performance a bit - losing the thread is all too easy!
I knew a boddhran player, however, who could only play well when stoned. Straight, he was dull as ditchwater, but stoned he had a subtlety and deftness which was awesome. Very dull man, though!
