I had a strange request - to sing "She moved through the fair" at a wedding. I tactfully suggested that they choose another song. Hardly appropriate since the proposed bride (or bridegroom, depending on the version) dies mysteriously ! In retrospect it might have been appropriate for my two weddings which each ended in divorce. Just kidding, of course, both my exes are alive and kicking and I wish them well (kinda!).
