Ah Mick, how true, how true. Sitting at the computer while Heather watches "Eastenders" downstairs. At this very moment I could probably be playing "Fields of Athenrae" for the third time at the olde "James Joyce", answering guitar questions like: "a Lowden eh? is that like a Yamaha?" and wondering why the twenty year old girls in the audience are so much more attractive than twenty years ago, when I was still doing it full-time. Nope, as Lee Hays said, "Times aint what they used to be, and what's more, they never were!" On the other hand I'm doing a concert next Sunday at the Tranzac, and looking forward to seeing a lot of my peers..a little older..a little more rumpled..parents and grandparents...folks who really know and love the music. Yup, t'ain't bad.
