With respect to those who are upset because we are asked to contribute without being furnished with financial statements, prospectii, business plans, and Gawd knows what other paperwork...

Has it ever occurred to you that if Max were a good businessman there wouldn't be a Mudcat?

Or at least if there were, it would be a members-only deal, with monthly paid subscriptions?

A good businessman wouldn't give away a service like this without any compensation except what people take a notion to send in.

So (if I may suggest, in all humility) quitcherbellyakin and send Max what the service is worth to you, or what you can afford, whichever is less.

If you think Max is ripping you off, don't send anything. But be quiet about it. If you're using the service without paying anything - and are able to pay something - you're ripping Max off. So how can he be ripping you off?

Or am I missing something?

Peter.
