First off, kill the cat. A creature of considerable intelligence that is demonstrating this type of malice towards your instruments must not be allowed to roam the earth, and certainly cannot be allowed to breed.

Second, there are any number of products available to deal with this exact problem. Many of them are enzyme based. I have used them and they work. They also take the smell of the dead cat off your hands
