perhaps it will take water to get them to be juicy. some fruit is grafted--one variety grown for hardy root stock and another for the quality of the fruit- if it doesn't bear tasty fruit, a variety of proven good peaches climatized for yoyur area could be grafted on! good luck. water it and see!
