Thread Name: What is the saddest song?
Subject: RE: What is the saddest song?
alanabit and Little Hawk, good post! I am always moved by "Most of the Time". "Ring Them Bells" strikes me with much sadness and hope at the same time. "Ring them bells for the child that cries when his innocence dies..."

Another sad song by Andy M. Stewart is "Bridget O'Mally" (I think that is the name of it!), and what a fine voice he puts to it. I must also credit him with one of the funniest songs I have heard, "The Errant Apprentice".

Then there is a hokey sad song by khandu:

"This song has got no music, This song has got no words

This song has got no melody, it's the saddest song I've heard

This song has got no rhythm, no poetry, no rhyme

This song is a reflection of my lonely state of mind"
