Dave Bryant: The term is still Dwarves (or dwarfs) as else there is no way to distinguish from midgets.
The difference is not always made clear(even in dictionaries), but IIRC a midget is a human who is smaller, but in the 'normal' proportions; whilst a dwarf appears to have a head out of proportion to the reduced size of his body.
