Just a note to let all you genteel and long-suffering North-East 'Catters know that Hurricane Baggyrinkle is forecast to strike Hull on Saturday 31 August (with the emphasis on the "gust"). It's the 13th annual International Shanty Festival (you knew that), and we'll be at the Marina. Don't know where, don't know when, they never tell me anything.

Other performers include Stormalong John, John Conolly, Johnny Collins (Hmmm, is there a theme here?), and it will be a wonderful, raucous weekend of song (it says on the tin).
