Being single is certainly not a bad thing!! Consider that it is our natural condition at birth, and it takes millions of dollars in TV advertisements and cultural bigotry to get us to even begin thinking about changing it! Allowing yourself to be suborned into a Hallmark mindset might conceivably be a serious error, unless you seriously want to settle for the careful construction of a life-long companionship. You pay a lot for such a decision, including putting up with laundry and another person's farts under the covers. You also get a lot in return. It is a matter of how you place your values in designing your life, of course.

However if you intend to continue the experiment, by all means go jump a few bones, and see if it succeeds -- at least it will be an adventure!!
