Dan - you know I've been telling my friends about the great time I had in Toronto making the record with Paul, picking and visiting quite a bit with Rick and seeing Marion, Mick, Jeri and others ... one of the real treats for me was being steeped in the "spirits" of the place - and sleeping in Paul's studio, I was right next to Stan Roger's beautiful Laskin 12 string guitar. I think Paul left it next to the bed on purpose, case open ... and it would talk to me every night! "Hey Jed, come and play me!" it would say ... so over course I did. Every time I walked near it!

Paul and I put a lot of thought into which song would be best for using that guitar - and we chose yours; The Sons of Liberty. Paul played it on the track, and we arranged the complimentary guitar parts so that Paul was using Stan's typical DADGAD tuning. I hope you like our treatment of your song. I love it.
