I heard on the TV last night that the polls in Florida stayed open for an extra two hours because of the problems with the new voting machines. I heard on the radio this morning that the polling places in some counties closed at the previously appointed time despite being ORDERED to stay open those extra two hours!!

There was a "sound-bite" of an interview with someone who said that it would take some time to fix the voting problems in Florida. My immediate thought was that they won't be fixed until after the 2004 presidential election.
