Regarding your comments about green/Celtic harp connection: spring green (i.e. the colour of new green leaves, expecially on willow trees and camphor laurel trees) was my favourite colour to wear when I was a teenager - apart from my enduring love for purple.

I used to have raging arguments with my mother, when I was little, about wanting to wear purple (not just pale or light versions of purple, but full-on dark versions) and she would keep telling me that little girls shouldn't wear dark colours. She had very specific views on that then, but I think she finally got used to the more recent trends of dressing little kids in darker & brighter colours.
