Thread Name: RIP: The Hase session dies
Subject: RE: OBIT: The Hase session dies
It was one of those dratted clothed sessions with pipes and sometimes and jOhn in Hull, who often delayed his arrival whilst he ate pizza in the back of Harpmaker's van. A lot of Scottish tunes, some Irish. It was really good when kicking, in a secluded central part of the pub.

It was tolerated by the management, but is a town-centre pub, with plenty of competition. Despite my best efforts at providing healthy beer sales, I suppose that they really want to sell high-margin alcopops to crowd of young people. And good luck to them.

A great pity really, but the Sloop is different. I was discussing this with Gary earlier - without the session, the place would be deserted. The key point is that the landlord really enjoys the session, and values it, providing food and accepting the damage to the furniture and wallpaper. We have almost cured the melodeonist - pelt by the way.
