I saw Bill Sables at Monk Fryston last evening, and I think he was present at the Hase during the 'showdown'. He was telling me that the landlady had laid on a load of grub for the week before, but noone told her it was postponed. From that account, it sounds as though it was a fit of peek. Perhaps an approach to hear her grievances......
