How about listing the songs you played - I've been tempted to try the same thing, i.e. volunteer to lead songs at the local retirement home - and would do what I learned at my parents' player piano : Bill Bailey, Have I told you lately that I love you, etc. I'd be interested to know what you sang that connected with that crowd.
