I had a look in my Country fake book and Home On The Range is given as traditional, with publishing owned by Dorsey Brothers Music. I then checked all the other Trad songs in there, and they all attribute the publishing rights to Dorsey Bros. And by a bizarre coincidence, the book's publishers have the same address as Dorsey Bros Music!
