I would have cracked up if Minnesota had won the championship series. What sweet revenge that would have been. My ideal World Series? That's easy. The Twins and the Pirates. I came to New York City in the fall of 1960, and was the only Pirate fan in my dorm. They had a common tv that everyone watched, and I had bets going against many loud-mouthed, self-deluding Yankee fans.
