By your definition the likes of Britney Spears, The Backstreet Boys, any Snoop Gangsta (insert mammal here), Madonna are true musicians. People like our own Justa Picker (there are several more here that I haven't heard) are not. Some of the finest musicians that I've ever heard hold day jobs. They may lack marketing skills or the body of Faith Hill or Shania Twain.
