The other live album Stan put out was "Between the Breaks". I think both the live albums give you the essential Rogers. The studio albums each have some great stuff on them, and a few tracks I prefer to skip over. Except for Fogarty's Cove, which is very consistent, a brilliant debut album. Were I to pick another studio album, it would be "Northwest Passage", although Lies and California bug me.

The odd number out in the catalog is "For the Family", for which Stan didn't write any of the songs, but dug out some of his family's favourite material, some written by relatives, some trad. Really a nice piece of work, but not an album of Stan's songs.

Personally I would avoid "From coffeehouse to concert hall", the recently released collection of archival tracks which weren't on any of his albums. (And they were all albums, Stan died in 1983.) Some nice material, but...

As for Keelaghan, Clinton is quite right about the consistent quality. But if you are particularly partial to the historical-vignette songs, they are most prevalent on his first two releases, "Timelines" and "Small Rebellions".
Hope that helps.
