Well, now I can say I've been to The Mermaid. Interesting and fun group. I can tell many of them have been doing this for a long time. And it is an interesting building. I wish I could have seen more.

The evening was a song circle in the back room of the inn. I'd guess there were 20 - 25 people there at various times. The music ranged from old English ballads (complete with body count) to modern singer songwriter. There was some Joanie Mitchell and Patsy Kline. Instruments were the ubiquitous guitar plus a banjo, fiddle, flute and a trumpet! Everyone had a good time but I had to bow out around 11:00 because I had a long way to go over unfamiliar roads. And I had to work next day.
