I used to drive a Morris Minor 1000 - for it's time it was a great little car. The engine became the BMC 'A' series and was used in many models: A35, A40, MG Midget, Austin-Healey sprite, Marina 1.3 and of course mounted transversely in the original Minis and Metros.

I Also had the misfortune to drive an AUSTIN/NASH METROPOLITAN what a load of CRAP - the worst performance, road holding, brakes and driving position of any vehicle that I've ever tried - including the Sinclair C5 !
