Well, BWL, whenever folks chide me for singing "Jingle Bells" after Christmas, I remind them that the song has nothing to do with Christmas!

(In one of the Jewish retirement homes where I do music, "Jingle Bells" is taboo for group programs, because there are a few residents who can't get over its association with Christmas. The fact that it's really only a sleighing song doesn't matter to them.)
