On the general theme of "Gee, wasn't Danny Kaye great?": I doubt that anyone would rate this as one of his most important performances, but I just love his contribution to the Rankin-Bass animated special "Here Comes Peter Cottontail." He, in animation and in voice, portrayed the character Seymour S. Sassafras, and he also provided the voices for Colonel Bunny and Antoine the caterpillar.
