10-15 years ago a mis-guided whale came up the sacramento
river delta and was turned back by squads of whale
lovers with recordings of whale songs. I believe he got
named Harvey th Hump-backed Whale, and there is a children's
book about this by Ernest Callenbach, who also wrote Ecotopia ,
which is about CA, OR and WA succeeding from the union and
fornming n ecologically correct society with mass transit,
recycling, organic lifestyle, natural living, etc.
I have some friends who yused to publish a magazine
called Seriatim, a journal of ecotopia...
the correct title of the book is:
Humphrey The Wayward Whale
