All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening. Jeri is one of the few people who dare to cross verbal swords with me, and, I love it! However I would like to get into a real (friendly) pissing contest with her!
Anyway, she made up for the hard time she gave me about tuning by backing me up on THE FADED ROSES OF DECEMBER.
I was also glad to see Sinsull (Mary) come out of her shell and sing in public. She has a sweet, old fashioned voice. Too bad I can't say the same for her! Well, no, actually, it's not bad.
Sure was nice to have all those folks coming from afar; Bat Goddess and Curmudgeon, Barry Finn, Jeri, Fred and Julia. Those of you who have not heard Julia play the harp don't know what you are missing.
Cap'n Bunker enthralled the whole crew with his story about the dynamite ship. Finish that song, Cap'n!
Man, it was so good to be able to sing after a solid year of no voice! I'm rusty as hell, but, it sure helped to have a pretty girl ask me to sing a certain song.
