I recently bought a 24 foot steel yacht on eBay, which I'm trying to organise collection of at the moment. Whilst my purchase was amazingly cheap (I was the only bidder who surveyed the vessel), it amazes me how high these bidding duels go. Dead accordions, for example, available in all self-deprecating junk shops for sub fifty quid, seem to go for three times that on eBay.
